Privacy notice
Last updated: 7 July 2026
The initial form is intended for a brief enquiry only. The practice will confirm whether further information is needed and how it should be sent.
Who controls the information
Focused Care Psychology Limited, trading as Focused Care Psychology, is the controller of personal information submitted directly to the practice through this website. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to focusedcarepsychology@gmail.com or by post to Focused Care Psychology Limited, c/o Waterford Teachers' Centre, Newtown Road, Waterford, X91 XD98, marked “Private and confidential”.
Information collected
The enquiry form may collect your name, email address, telephone number, county or country, preferred contact method, service of interest and the message you choose to provide. The hosting and email providers may also process limited technical, security and delivery information needed to operate those services.
Why information is used
- To respond to an enquiry and clarify suitability, scope and next steps.
- To arrange a consultation or requested service.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse and manage professional or legal obligations.
- To keep an appropriate record of communication where work proceeds.
Depending on the circumstances, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, to meet legal or professional obligations, or for legitimate interests in operating and protecting the practice. Any later processing of health or clinical information is addressed through the relevant service documentation and confidentiality information.
Sharing and service providers
Information is not sold. It may be processed by providers used for website hosting, form delivery, email and secure practice administration, and by professional or legal advisers where necessary. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where a serious safeguarding or safety duty applies.
Scheduling and payments
If online booking is activated, Calendly will process scheduling details such as your name, email address, selected time and responses to booking questions. If payment is required after suitability has been agreed, Stripe or another stated payment provider will process payment information. Card details should not be entered into the website enquiry form and are not intended to be stored by this website.
Before these services go live, their exact account region, contractual terms, privacy settings, retention and international-transfer safeguards should be documented and reflected in this notice.
Retention
Initial enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, determine whether work will proceed, maintain necessary business records and meet legal or professional duties. If you become a client, clinical-record retention is governed by the separate privacy and service information supplied for that work.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to receive certain information in a portable form. Where processing relies on consent, consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Requests can be made by email; identity may need to be verified.
Complaints
You can raise a concern with the practice first. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. Its current contact and complaint information is available at dataprotection.ie.
Cookies and analytics
This build does not include advertising, behavioural tracking or optional analytics cookies. Essential hosting or security technologies may be used to deliver and protect the site. If optional analytics or marketing technology is introduced, the notice and consent controls must be updated before it is enabled.
Security and international processing
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards should be used for information handled by the website and its providers. Some providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area; where that occurs, the practice should use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism and provider safeguards.
Changes
This notice will be updated when the enquiry process, providers, legal requirements or practice arrangements materially change.
